Intro to Kayak

Good starting point on your way to multisport kayaking. We will teach you the basics on moving water and build from there. Run in white water boats all gear is included.

Grade 2 Training:

Two days on the Mohaka river.  Running down grade two rapids in your racing boat is the best training. We will give you the skills to stay safe, pick lines and get yourself out of the unknown and undesired.

 Training & Assessment Weekend:

More time on the river.  First day is training, second day is assessment.  We will try and get as many runs on the river as practacable. All assessments done in your ‘race day’ boat.

Why not take a three day weekend to kayak and learn new skills. Learn to run a river in your racing kayak. How you should be sitting, how to paddle with ease, what line to take down a rapid. If you’re up to it get your Grade 2 certificate. Gear not included.

Weekend Warrior

Two days on the Mohaka River have never been more valuable to your kayaking. There is no substitute to time in a kayak on a river. Our instructor will be there to observe, give feedback and keep you safe. Gear not included.

Payment  to be received to confirm booking
Some gear can be hired upon hire agreement and payment
Rapid sensations reserves the right to postpone, move or cancel trips due to health and safety reasons
Private group or one on one course can be arranged on request.
